Senator John McCain's negative response to the speech made by President Obama on January 27, 2010 was sent in a message to his supporters the next day. His attack was mostly focused on spending and criticism of of Obama's proposed discretionary spending freeze, calling it "political rhetoric."

More federal spending will jumpstart the flagging economy. Or that's the claim made by Barack Obama on Tuesday when he called for a new stimulus package exceeding 150 BILLION dollars. Isn't it a pity we threw all that money down the rathole of Iraq? Isn't it a pity we're continuing to do so in Afghanistan?
Stimulus? Yet another payout is coming. This time it's actually going to the American People instead of corporate fatcats, in the form of an extension to COBRA benefits and other unemployment. Good. Lots of "conservatives" won't like it but they're just fine with huge payouts to Wall Street, just as long as poor people aren't getting help with baby formula or healthcare.
The Obama administration has repeatedly made fraudulent claims during less than a year in office. Now they're making claims about the jobs stimulus package that even leftist CBS calls them "Hard to Believe." At what point are people going to wake up about this administration? Failure is success. Lies are truth. Ignorance is strength.
